Cybersecurity Center of Excellence

Master of Science in Cybersecurity

Defend What Matters Most

In cybersecurity, your degree is only as valuable as the institution behind it. Employers, federal agencies, and defense contractors know the difference, and Norwich's name carries weight where it counts.

Norwich University is one of the first universities in the nation designated a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). That designation isn't self-reported; it's earned through a rigorous federal vetting process, and it signals to every hiring manager in government and defense that your education meets the highest national standards.

You will receive a unique online education experience, developing the skills needed to help ensure that information assets are understood, valued, and protected within the complex business enterprise.

Industry certifications built for DoD careers.

Through our exclusive partnership with Hack The Box (HTB), you'll earn certifications that map directly to Department of Defense job roles and the DoD 8570/8140 workforce framework. These aren't participation badges. They are recognized credentials that open doors at federal agencies, defense contractors, and intelligence organizations.

Built for the military-to-cyber transition. If you've served, you already have the discipline, mission focus, and security clearance that civilian cyber professionals spend years trying to build. Norwich is designed to take what you've earned in uniform and turn it into a civilian career that commands the same respect. Our faculty includes active and former military leaders, federal agency veterans, and defense industry practitioners, people who have operated in the same environments you're moving into.

The appearance of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) visual information does not imply or constitute DoD endorsement.
