Norwich University is proud to partner with JSOU to provide undergraduate and graduate degrees for SOF operators and enablers. Norwich meets JSOU’s educational benchmarks by being regionally accredited and military-friendly, providing tuition rates within the tuition assistance cap, using an online format, and having flexible admission requirements.

Norwich University offers an exclusive pathway to a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree for JSOU graduates that allows up to 12 credits to transfer into selected Graduate programs and up to 18 credits for Undergraduate programs from coursework and training. Discounted pricing can provide a 47% savings and the ability to finish within a year. JSOU graduates from the Class of 2018 to the current graduating class are eligible for this program.

Norwich accepts a variety of JSOU courses including CEP-1 Joint Fundamentals, CEP-2 Enterprise Management, CEP-3 JSOFSEA, CEP-4 Summit, Introduction to SOF – Distance Learning, Intro to Irregular Warfare – Distance Learning, and more.The JSOU CEP-3 course is transferable to the NU online undergraduate and graduate programs with the equivalence of the designated NU credits as articulated below. At the graduate level students are eligible to transfer a maximum of 12 credits per 36 credit degree program. At the undergraduate level students are eligible to transfer a maximum of 90 credits per 120 credit degree program. Transfer credit is only applicable at one academic degree level and can only be applied once. 

Program Costs:

  • $550 per credit hour for Grad programs; $250 per credit hour for Undergrad programs.
  • Library and Technology fees of $375 per term for graduate programs; $250 per term for undergraduate programs.
  • The optional Norwich ACCESS program is avilable for $22 per credit hour.

Tuition Assistance

  • Students eligible for Tuition Assistance will receive $250 per credit hour up to $4,500 annually which can be applied to any of the undergraduate or graduate programs at Norwich. 
  • All graduates must consult with their Education Services Officers/Counselor at their assigned duty station or servicing education center to determine and discuss their eligibility for tuition assistance.

Articulated Programs

The JSOU CEP-3 course is transferable to the NU online undergraduate and graduate programs with the equivalence of the designated NU credits as articulated below. At the graduate level students are eligible to transfer a maximum of 12 credits per 36 credit degree program. At the undergraduate level students are eligible to transfer a maximum of 90 credits per 120 credit degree program. Transfer credit is only applicable at one academic degree level and can only be applied once. Students are required to meet degree requirements of the program selected, including successful completion of all credit hours as outlined in accreditation.
