Q: Tell us about yourself: your family, friends, interests, and hobbies.
A: "I am a father to an amazing two-year-old daughter and am lucky to be supported by my amazing wife of almost seven years! I love watching the Premier League, supporting my favorite team, Liverpool F.C."
Q: Describe your professional background prior to enrolling, what motivated you to pursue this degree, and your long-term career goals.
A: "I have always been interested in warfare and combat, and I knew that I needed to obtain my master’s degree in order to continue teaching in Connecticut. Therefore, Norwich's master’s program fit exactly with my needs and my interests, making it the perfect choice!"
Q: How have you applied what you learned in your role, and how has this degree impacted your career growth or direction?
A: "While I have not necessarily used my newfound military knowledge, the research and writing skills that I have been developing have been incredibly impactful on my students, even at the middle school level. I feel like I am much more prepared to teach research methods at any level!"
Q: What will stay with you most from your Norwich experience, and what advice would you give to prospective students?
A: "Make sure that you connect with your professors as much as possible! I have never interacted with people who wanted me to succeed more than my professors at Norwich! Amazing people, every one of them!"
Q: Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your experiences at Norwich or the impact of Norwich on your life?
A: "I am excited to move forward with my education, and I feel much more prepared for my future after the work that I have done at Norwich!"
Q: Why did you choose Norwich University Online? What influenced your decision to pursue an online program, and which aspects of the online learning experience proved most beneficial to you?
A: "I chose Norwich online because it allowed me to continue working full-time while finishing my degree in a way that best fit my schedule. While I missed in-person discussion and learning, online classes allowed me to work on my own time, for which I am eternally grateful."
Q: What were your expectations before starting the program? How did your experience compare, and what aspects stood out most to you?
A: "I do not truly know what I expected out of the program, at least in terms of classes. I had never taken an online class before! I for sure missed getting to be at a desk in the classroom, but the online discussion boards and professor interaction were amazing!"
