Norwich helped me build my knowledge and confidence in the supply chain industry. I was very overwhelmed when I started my new job, but using what I've learned in class has helped me succeed in my new profession.
Q: “Tell us about yourself: your family, friends, interests, and professional experience.”
A: “I am from Eastern Kentucky originally. I currently live in Texas. I am married to my husband, Zack. We have no kids, but we have two cats that we treat like children. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, fishing, etc. I also love binge-watching TV shows and crocheting.
I served four years in the Kentucky National Guard and four years Active Duty Army where I was a logistics officer. I currently work for Texas Electric Cooperative as a Demand Planner/Purchasing Agent.”
Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “After leaving the Army, I knew I wanted to return to school and pursue a degree in business to better market myself in the civilian sector. I want to gain as much experience as possible in the supply chain industry to advance my career.”
Q: “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A: “My best friend completed her degree from Norwich while we were deployed to Afghanistan. The program was very understanding and flexible with our ever-changing environment overseas. Just hearing about her amazing experience, I knew Norwich was the right fit for me. One of the best things I've noticed about Norwich is their amazing staff. Everyone I have communicated with has my best interests in mind and has made my experience great!”
Q: “Did you have any uncertainties with choosing an online program?”
A: “No – I had to choose a strictly online program due to my husband being in the Army and the fact that we've moved three times since I started this program. The online Master of Business Administration program is one of the main reasons I chose Norwich.”
Q: “Prior to beginning your courses, what were some of your expectations for an online degree program and how were those met or challenged based on your experience with Norwich?”
A: “I was honestly surprised how much I learned while taking the online classes. The professors kept us engaged and truly cared if we were learning the material.”
Q: “What is one piece of advice you would give to future students enrolling into one of Norwich's online programs?”
A: “Anyone can do it. Don't let the title of the degree overwhelm you. The staff truly wants you to succeed and is there to support you. No matter what your background is or experience in that field, believe in yourself, and you'll succeed.”
Q: “What has been your biggest personal or professional success since starting and/or completing your coursework and degree?”
A: "Norwich helped me build my knowledge and confidence in the supply chain industry. I was very overwhelmed when I started my new job, but using what I've learned in class has helped me succeed in my new profession.”
