The evidence-based curriculum blends research, proven methodologies, and hands-on applications, preparing professionals to deliver expert care with confidence.
Navigating today’s complex healthcare landscape demands more than just skill. It requires leadership, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Norwich University, a pioneer in innovative online education, equips nursing professionals with the knowledge and expertise to make a lasting impact in the field.
Norwich offers Post-Graduate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certificates in three key areas:
- Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Through completion of curriculum courses and a clinical placement, graduates from certificate programs are prepared for the following certification exams:
The Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification exam, administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
The Family Nurse Practitioner national certification board exam, offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification exam, administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Hybrid Learning Model
Post Graduate APRN Certificates offer a truly distinctive learning experience, blending the best aspects of online and in-person education. Unlike traditional programs that are either fully online or entirely on campus, this program provides a hybrid approach, integrating both asynchronous and synchronous learning to offer the best of both worlds.
Students will complete coursework online, engaging with asynchronous materials on their own schedule while also participating in scheduled virtual class sessions with faculty and peers on a weekly or biweekly basis. These real-time interactions foster collaboration, enhance understanding, and provide the structured support essential for nursing education. To further reinforce hands-on learning, students will come together on campus twice during key points in their program. These in-person experiences provide critical opportunities to apply knowledge, develop practical skills, and build connections with faculty and fellow students.
