Norwich University is committed to supporting the continued growth of its students and alumni through meaningful scholarship opportunities. Whether you are completing an undergraduate degree on campus or preparing to advance to a graduate program, these scholarships are designed to recognize achievement, reduce financial barriers, and create a clear pathway to your next level of education.

On-Campus Scholarship Opportunities

Alumni Scholarship:

  • Available to Norwich alumni and immediate family members (spouses, parents, and children)
  • Applies to online master’s degrees and graduate-level certificates (excluding the Certificate of Teaching and Learning)
  • Automatically awarded to all eligible applicants
  • Provides $425 per term
  • No continuous enrollment requirement to maintain eligibility

Merit Scholarship: 

  • Designed for residential undergraduate seniors entering their final spring term
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required
  • Must demonstrate strong academic performance and readiness for graduate study
  • Requires a clear statement of academic and professional goals
  • Provides $1,250 per term, up to $7,500 total
  • Funds must be used within three years of graduation

Distinguished Scholar Scholarship: 

  • Designed for high-achieving residential undergraduate seniors in their final spring term
  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA required
  • Requires a compelling narrative outlining graduate study goals
  • Recognizes exceptional academic achievement and leadership potential
  • Provides $2,500 per term, up to $15,000 total
  • Funds must be used within three years of graduation

Online Scholarship Opportunities

Online Merit Scholarship (By Invitation Only):

The Online Merit Scholarship is a selective opportunity extended to high-performing students in Norwich’s online undergraduate programs. Eligible candidates are invited to apply based on academic achievement and readiness for graduate-level work.

  • Minimum 3.7 GPA required
  • Must demonstrate exceptional academic performance
  • Requires a clear articulation of graduate study goals
  • Provides $1,250 per term, up to $7,500 total
  • Funds must be used within three years of graduation

Important Scholarship Information

Scholarships are not additive and cannot be combined with other Norwich University tuition reduction programs or offers. If multiple awards are granted, only the highest-value scholarship will be applied toward tuition. Please contact your admissions advisor with questions.
