About
Dr. Roberta Ward Walsh joined Norwich University following 15 years with Florida Gulf Coast University where she served as Chairperson of the Department of Public Affairs, leading the Master of Public Administration online degree program toward accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. She earned her PhD from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, a master’s degree in economics from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts.
Her previous experience includes 15 years as a professor at the University of Vermont and earlier government service with the U.S. Department of Energy and Federal Trade Commission, as well as visiting teaching appointments at Simmons College in Boston, The University of Texas at Austin, and Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In her primary area of research in energy program evaluation, she has authored over 50 publications and presentations, receiving the Aaron Wildavsky Book Award of the Policy Studies Organization. She holds membership in the American Society of Public Administration and the European Group on Public Administration.
