About

Victoria Herman has been teaching online for Norwich University since their online programs were first offered. She also helped to develop the online mathematical course materials while teaching on campus at Norwich University, starting in 2010. Prior to landing at Norwich University, she studied mathematics at the University of Rochester in New York and at the University of Vermont and then spent years teaching and developing a variety of math and statistics courses for the University of Vermont, Champlain College, Lyndon State College, Saint Michael's College, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. There was also a time when Victoria studied at the Boston Architectural College and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, while working a day job at a textbook publishing company.

She thoroughly enjoys teaching online for Norwich University because the students bring a wide range of experiences to the classroom and they always seem to connect the unique mathematical content to their daily lives. Teaching online has also been beneficial because Victoria and her husband have two young children and this position allows her the flexibility to stay home with them while continuing to work professionally during this important stage of family life. Her other interests include yoga, crafting, reading, keeping up with many tv series, and continuously striving to be minutely better at gardening, cooking, and baking.
