Dr. Sheri Brown has proudly returned to Norwich University as the Track Coordinator for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. In addition, she serves as a Hospitalist at Newport Hospital in Newport, RI, and works per diem in outpatient clinics in Newport, RI. 

She is a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP). Dr. Brown began her academic journey at Norwich University, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She subsequently worked at Fletcher Allen Health Care (now the University of Vermont Medical Center) in various roles, including float nurse, pediatric nurse, and Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Inpatient Unit. During this time, she also contributed to the education of future nurses by teaching undergraduate nursing at Norwich University, both in the classroom and in clinical settings across multiple sites. She continues to work per diem at a critical access hospital in Randolph, Vermont.


Dr. Brown furthered her education at SUNY Stony Brook, where she obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2006. Her professional experience encompasses primary care, walk-in clinics, and hospital medicine. Ten years ago, she relocated to Newport, RI, to continue her career. She later achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Villanova University and completed a post-doctorate certificate in Adult Geriatric Acute Care at the University of Pennsylvania.
 

With a diverse background in clinical practice and nursing education, Dr. Brown brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her roles, ensuring high-quality care and mentorship in the nursing community.
