About
Susie McCord is an adjunct faculty member in Norwich University’s Master of Science in Nursing program, for which she teaches the health systems analysis course.
She received her RN degree from Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and was commissioned a lieutenant, junior grade into the Navy Nurse Corps in 1989. Following graduation from Officer Indoctrination School in Newport, R.I., she was stationed at Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Virginia, serving as a staff nurse and nursing night supervisor. Her Navy assignments included duty stations in California, Cuba, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida, and she was deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in 2002. She received her doctorate in 2009, and in 2010, retired with the rank of commander after her 21-year career with the Navy.
