Angelia Williams Graves was elected as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 90th House district in Virginia in January 2021. She previously served on the Norfolk City Council since November 2, 2010 and represented the residents of Superward 7. She served as the city’s Vice Mayor from 2013-2016. As a member of council she currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for the St. Paul’s Quadrant revitalization project. Councilwoman Graves is a city representative for the National League of Cities and is the 2nd Vice-President of the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO).
Angelia was born and raised in Norfolk, attended St. Mary’s Academy and is a graduate of Booker T. Washington HS. She graduated from Tidewater Community College and from Old Dominion University with degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. She also graduated from the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, and the Alpha School.
