Q: “Tell us about yourself.”
A: “I have a wife and three sons and live in the suburbs of Phoenix. I currently work in Public Safety, with hopes of using my degree to obtain employment in the history field as a second career upon retirement. I enjoy reading and have a specific interest in the history of the American Revolution.”

Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “I have always had a passion for history, and I wanted to earn my degree from an institution with a faculty that shares my passion for the study of the past. I have around 3 1/2 years until I retire from my current profession. I then plan to move to the east coast in pursuit of a career dealing with the history of the American Revolution.”

Q: “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A: “I chose Norwich after extensively researching programs that worked for me. I was very comfortable with an online program because it fit my schedule very well. I had a coworker, an alumnus, who spoke very highly of the university. Based on what I had heard about the university, I had very high expectations that were more than met!”

Q: “What advice would you give to future students enrolling in one of Norwich's online programs?”
A: “Ensure you have some level of self-discipline before enrolling. The courses were some of the best I have taken in my academic career, but they can be demanding.”

Q: “What has been your biggest personal or professional success since starting your degree?”
A: “I cannot say enough about the university's faculty. My biggest success has been being introduced to the Master of Arts in History - public history program community. The professors became my mentors and gave me an edge in conducting viable academic research that will pay dividends throughout my next career. Overall, my biggest success has been earning the actual degree. My success is largely due to the awesome instructors I had.”

Q: “Please tell us about a time in which you could put your knowledge gained in the classroom to work immediately at your job.”
A: “I conduct historical research projects in my current profession from time to time, and the techniques and best practices were directly applied to that endeavor.”

Q: “What aspects of your Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?”
A: “The networking and the lifelong friendships I made, even in an online platform.”
