Now that I have completed the Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis program, I will be continuing my studies with Norwich into the Master of Arts in Diplomacy program. I owe the credit to Norwich for giving me the desire to continue my education.
Q: “Terry, please tell us a little bit about yourself and your family.”
A: “I am retired military and have been married 28 years. I have three children ages 26, 24 and 14.”
Q: “What are you currently doing professionally?”
A: “I work for Blackbird Technologies, headquartered in Herndon, VA, as a technical instructor/writer for USAJFKSWC at Ft. Bragg.”
Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “It’s been a lifelong goal. I did it to enhance my background and better myself as a person.”
Q: “Why did you choose Norwich and how did you learn about it?”
A: “Its reputation, military heritage, and I have associates who are participating in its Master of Arts in Diplomacy program.”
Q: “What makes Norwich unique?”
A: “The staff, the teachers, the institution as a whole is unique.”
Q: “What aspects of the Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?”
A: “I will be continuing my studies into the Master of Arts in Diplomacy program. I owe the credit to Norwich for giving me the desire to continue my education.”
Q: “Please describe any memorable experiences with faculty or staff?”
A: “The overall care and concern from the faculty and staff was a motivator in completing the program.”
Q: “Have you grown professionally as a result of your program at Norwich?”
A: “Most certainly. The experiences have spurred me to continue furthering my education goals and continue seeking challenges in this arena. Norwich is responsible for that outlook.
Q: “Please tell us of any examples where you were able to put knowledge to work immediately.”
A: “The ability to speak to students about study and research skills in preparation for their military requirements is a constant in my job.
Q: “Have you grown personally as a result of your education?”
A: “I have a renewed approach to my life and relationships with my family. This opportunity has given me the motivation to better the others aspects of my life outside of work.
Q: “Anything else you would like to tell us about your experiences at Norwich or the impact of Norwich on your life?"
A: “I feel blessed to have the chance to not only get a degree in a relevant discipline but that an educational institution, with an established and historic reputation for excellence in academia, let me be a part of it all. I place my experience at Norwich with my many accomplishments in the military at the highest place, and look forward to pursuing my master’s degree at Norwich.”
