Isil Tan
I am a professional, and I do not have time and budget to quit my job and come to the U.S. to study on-campus. Thus it was a must for me to study online. When I read the details, I realized that Norwich has a really good online system.
Q: “Tell us about yourself.”
A: "My Names is Isil, I am 35 years old, a Civil Engineer, born in Turkey, worked in 7 different countries, and now live in Australia. This opportunity gave me a better understanding of how hard to manage people from different cultures. I have been working in project management team for 12 years now. As you can see, I love traveling for work or leisure. I adore scuba diving and photography."
Q: “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A: "I was looking for an MBA accredited by PMI. Most of the master's degrees in project management that I looked in Australia or the U.S. were accredited but not MBA. Then when I read about the Norwich University and discovered the military background. The military knows how to manage projects all over, thus I chose Norwich, and was accepted."
Q: “What was the deciding factor in pursuing an online degree versus a traditional on-campus degree?”
A: "I am a professional, and I do not have time and budget to quit my job and come to the U.S. to study on-campus. Thus it was a must for me to study online. When I read the details, I realize that Norwich has a really good online system."
Q: “How have you grown personally or professionally since completing your coursework and degree?”
A: "Most of the project management tools that I learned were the knowledge that I already had with work experience. However, I am glad that I took MBA, because the finance and resource management helped me a lot, and gave me an understanding of people."
Q: “What aspects of your Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?”
A: "Discipline, which I adore."
