Q: “Tell us a bit about yourself, Emmanuel.”
A: “I immigrated to the USA from the Philippines, lived in Michigan for 13 years, and am currently residing in San Antonio, Texas. I enjoy traveling and learning different cultures; I love bowling and playing volleyball and table tennis."

Q: “What is your current employer?”
A: "I am the Director of the Cardiovascular Unit at Baptist Medical Center, a Tenet Healthcare Facility."

Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: "As a nurse with 25 years of varied experiences, I have realized that it is only the beginning to pay forward and give back to the nursing profession. These realizations were the result of self-reflections on the need to pursue higher learning in nursing. Coming from a family of clinicians, the decision to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing was the next plausible step to professional advancement."

Q: “What makes Norwich unique?”
A: "Norwich University is very unique in many ways including its rich history and culture, small class sizes that allow more personal interaction with faculty members and students, the blend of military and civilian students, the flexibility to balance work, home, school and social life. The university provides a distinctive and distinguished learning environment for the students."

Q: “Please describe any memorable experiences with faculty members.”
A: "Every course with my classmates and faculty members was unique and memorable. Each course objective was achieved during interactions with peers and with the professors. Faculty members incorporated academics with real-world clinical practice. Each faculty member mentored me to acquire the knowledge and develop skills to take on the complexities of a dynamic healthcare industry."

Q: “How have you grown personally or professionally as a result of your education?”
A: "The education I acquired from Norwich provided a strong foundation for me to lead, implement significant changes on a unit and organizational level, communicate effectively, and develop system processes to produce improved patient outcomes. Personally, I have learned to manage time and instill self-discipline to fulfill school requirements."
