Intelligence and National Security Certificate

Graduate Certificate in Intelligence and National Security

The Intelligence and National Security graduate certificate program covers the foundations and theories related to national intelligence, national security, and critical infrastructure protection. In today's complex systems, these issues are often addressed by groups of professionals with diverse backgrounds and training.

Curriculum

This certificate program aims to familiarize students with issues in national security law, intelligence and security needs, security risks faced by private and governmental organizations, and communication and collaboration between governments and organizations on security matters. Emphasis is placed on inter-jurisdictional and inter-governmental aspects of security issues related to infrastructure, travel, transport, immigration, and similar matters. The program is valuable for students interested in understanding security bureaucracy, intelligence, and organizational cooperation, as well as those seeking careers in governmental and private agencies employing security technology and services.

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence and National Security, students wishing to enter Norwich’s Master of Arts in International Relations program will be able to use the certificate courses toward the completion of their master’s degree.
