Kathleen McDonnell has been with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYSDOCCS), since 1997.

She has served in a variety of roles within Corrections and Parole, and is currently the Bureau Chief for the Rochester Belt Area Office of community supervision.  This area office covers five counties surrounding the Rochester, NY area and includes 17 parole officers monitoring over 900 parolees. Kathleen has been an adjunct faculty member for Norwich University, Keuka College and New England College since 2012.  She has enjoyed developing numerous courses in the areas of Corrections, Ethics, and Leadership. Kathleen is also a member of a Mentoring committee under the Commissioner's Diversity Management Advisory Council and was responsible for the development and implementation of a new statewide mentoring program for NYSDOCCS in 2018. Kathleen graduated from Buffalo State College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and received her Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Keuka College in 2007.
