The College of Graduate and Continuing Studies is proud to welcome Pete Smith as the 2020 Residency Conference keynote and Todd Lecture Series speaker. Pete Smith is an international speaker and coach in the fields of leadership, management, personal growth and development. Having been called “One of America’s leading personal and professional development coaches," his energetic, edgy, and interactive style is complimented by his ability to provide practical takeaways that actually work, while having a little fun in the process.

He is the author of Dare to Matter, which hit the best seller list in the Business Motivation and Self-Improvement category in 2017. We invite all students to read the book and participate in our live "book read" discussions.

The Todd Lecture Series is named in honor of US Army retired Major General and Norwich President Emeritus W. Russell Todd ’50 and his late wife, Carol, in gratitude for their dedicated service to Norwich University and the Northfield community. Beginning in 2008, the Todd Lecture Series has brought revered, provocative and surprising speakers to campus. With a single guest in the fall and a series of lectures in the spring—each selected and hosted by an academic college—each year the series covers a variety of themes while remaining free and open to the public and the students, faculty, and staff.
