Norwich faculty members embody the spirit of thinking and doing that has always informed Norwich’s academic model. Combining extensive academic and research credentials with career experience in the subjects they teach, our faculty members bring vast knowledge and real-world insight into the virtual classroom. They include nationally renowned subject matter experts, published authors and researchers, high-ranking retired military officers, and accomplished professionals in various industries and sectors.
Because all of our courses are taught online, there are no geographic limitations to Norwich finding the best, most qualified faculty to teach them. In fact, like our students, many of our instructors offer an international perspective as they have lived, or are currently living, outside of the U.S. This adds a great depth of perspective to discussions and contributes to the understanding of complex, global issues that impact concepts studied in all of our programs: from the Bachelor of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis to an MBA, and everything in between.
Just as important as our faculty’s qualifications is their genuine commitment to students. Before the start of each course, professors call students individually to get acquainted. They then continue to make themselves readily available to students throughout the course, providing personalized mentorship and often collaborating with students on professional academic and research work. Last but not least, Norwich faculty members help connect students to a broad professional and academic network and often remain involved in students’ careers and lives long after graduation.
Here is an example of how our faculty support our students, on an individual level.
