Norwich students, alumni, and faculty work for diverse organizations in a wide variety of fields, but they all share one thing in common: industriousness. Explore this section to learn about their professional and civic accomplishments – and tell us about your own.
Raul David Avalos, a 2011 Master of Arts in Diplomacy alumnus, is currently working for Diplomatic Security Services. The next post is Port-au-Prince, Haiti where he hopes to work in the post conflict reconstruction and development field.
Prior to that, Avalos joined his wife abroad with the Foreign Service as a Community Liaison Officer in Santiago Chile, supporting the embassy community and providing outreach.
During his last semester at Norwich, Avalos worked as a consultant at US Institute of Peace as part of the SENSE program. He also delivered lectures at University of St. Thomas and the Osgood Center for International Studies.
As Avalos puts it, "All this was possible from the preparation I received at Norwich."
