Norwich students, alumni, and faculty work for diverse organizations in a wide variety of fields, but they all share one thing in common: industriousness. Explore this section to learn about their professional and civic accomplishments – and tell us about your own.
June Eberhardt, a 2012 alumna, has achieved Gold Level status in the Epsilon Pi Phi (EPP) honor society. EPP recognizes “Academic Excellence and Dedication that a member exhibits towards the profession of Emergency Management; Homeland Security; Business Continuity and Research.”
Gold Level status is the highest level awarded, and must be preceded by achieving Silver level status. At each level an applicant must meet specific FEMA-based training requirements in Disaster/Emergency Management and in General Management, must complete a specified number of volunteer hours, must participate in a community service learning project, and attend a conference or have contact with legisature, submit professional references, and document a contribution to the field.
In fulfillment of these requirements, Eberhardt volunteered to serve on a NJ state-wide private sector planning group, resulting in a more robust partnership with the State of NJ and the US Department of Homeland Security. She also presented a paper on compliance with Presidential Directive #5 at the NJ Emergency Management Association
Eberhardt is currently contracted with UMass/Dartmouth as the Emergency Management Coordinator.
