Norwich students, alumni, and faculty work for diverse organizations in a wide variety of fields, but they all share one thing in common: industriousness. Explore this section to learn about their professional and civic accomplishments – and tell us about your own.
Diplomacy current student, Jared Benjamin Goff, has been in fire service for over 20 years, primarily in Northern Virginia, where he has been providing emergency services and management. Goff is currently a Lieutenant assigned to the busiest company, however, he will be promoted to the rank of Captain by 2013.
Goff also serves as a Command Aide to the Deputy Fire Chief - a position which requires considerable training, responsibility and opportunity for exposure to the daily operations of the department. Prior to his current assignment, Goff was assigned to the Fire Academy as a Field Training Officer responsible for training 400 firefighters.
Exemplifying Norwich's spirt of service, Goff is alo involved in the community as a Cub Scout leader, vice president of a community swim team, as well as a life member at his local volunteer fire department.
