James “Robert” Brown Jr. is a 2017 graduate of Norwich’s Master of Public Administration degree program. He has recently joined the FBI’s Louisville Field Office as the new special agent in charge. Before this position, he held a position as a deputy assistant director in the National Security Branch’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate at the FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C, where he began his FBI duty in 2002. He also oversaw the FBI’s efforts to suppress the opioid epidemic as chief of the Criminal Investigative Division’s Transnational Organized Crime Western Section at FBI Headquarters before 2002.
