Major Enno Kerckhoff, MSM, CD, is an armour officer with the Royal Canadian Dragoons. He received his MBA from Norwich University in 2014 and is currently employed with the Strategic Joint Staff in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Recently, Major Kerckhoff was published in the online journal of the National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces. In the article, entitled “Russia’s Near-Abroad Interventions: Crazy Like a Fox,” Major Kerckhoff discusses the ways in which Russian military intervention has allowed the former Soviet Union to assert control in neighboring nations of the former Soviet bloc, thereby limiting the spread of NATO’s influence in the region. The article began as a paper Major Kerckhoff submitted as part of the Joint Command and Staff Program at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto.
