Q: “Tell us about where you live, your interests and hobbies.”
A:  “I live in a small town in Vermont close to family and friends. One of the wonderful things about living in Vermont is the beautiful mountains and landscapes. I try to enjoy them as often as possible and can often be found outside running, hiking, snowboarding or skiing with friends.”

Q: “Briefly describe your current professional life.”
A:  “I work for a scientific instrument manufacturer called BioTek Instruments, Inc. in Winooski, Vt. I serve as the marketing specialist for the company, which means I get to dabble in a lot of things, from tradeshow and event planning, to product launch strategizing and creative development.”

Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “I have always enjoyed learning and after watching several of my colleagues complete master’s programs. I felt inspired to do the same, as I felt it would be a good challenge and help to set me apart in the marketplace.”

Q: “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A: “Several of my colleagues went through the Norwich MBA program and it came highly recommended to me.”

Q: “What makes Norwich unique?”
A:  “One of the key things that set Norwich apart from the other programs I looked at was the accelerated nature of the program. Many other schools would have required a commitment of several years, where Norwich’s program was more concentrated and therefore I was able to complete it in 18 months. I also liked that Norwich’s program was online and therefore international in nature. Today’s market is very diverse and being able to study and work alongside people from across the globe was a benefit to me.”

Q: “How have you grown personally or professionally as a result of your education?”
A: “I have grown both personally and professionally as a result of completing the Norwich program. The material was relevant to my profession and expanded my breadth of knowledge both in my field of marketing and in other areas of business. Personally, I felt that the group work involved in many of the courses helped me to develop my interpersonal skills greatly.”

Q: “Please tell us about any examples where you were able to put your knowledge to work immediately at your job.”
A: “The interpersonal and project management skills that I developed during the program were immediately helpful and applicable in my current role. Also, I gained a greater understanding of the various challenges other departments in my company face. A broader understanding of the company and business environment as a whole has been a huge help and advantage to me.”

Q: “What aspects of your Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?”
A:  “There wasn’t one particular piece of the Norwich experience that stands out to me as I enjoyed the challenge and experience overall. It was great to meet people face-to-face at residency.”
