Q: “Tell us a bit about yourself, Tammy.”
A: “I live near Fayetteville, North Carolina and am married to my husband, Kevin. I have a son, Paxton who is 16. I study American history as a hobby and am embarking on gardening.”
Q: “Briefly describe your professional life.”
A: “I am retired from the military.”
Q: “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A: “It was just a personal goal of mine. I chose history because it’s my calling and it makes me happy. I am very imaginative and passionate about history and love to share that with others.”
Q: “What makes Norwich unique?”
A: “The thing I find most impressive about the university is its approach to teaching and methodology. The professors are experts in their field and they act as a mentor. They give students the tools and allow students to develop themselves along with their peers. It’s a professional educational environment.”
Q: “How have you grown personally or professionally as a result of your education?”
A: “My education has made me a better person and allowed me to understand the world better. I am more informed, more tolerant and patient. Norwich gives us many avenues to travel to find happiness and also to contribute to our communities.”
Q: “What aspects of your Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?”
A: “The concept that if I work hard and keep striving to meet my goals, I will. Also, if those goals are not obtainable, I now will be able to embrace what I can accomplish and make that work for me.”
