Q:  “Lamia, tell us about yourself, your family and interests.”
A:  “I have a German mother and a Syrian father and have one brother. I love to read, do water sports, enjoy fine dining and I love to travel to new places. I currently live in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Q:  “Give us some insight into your professional life.”
A:  “I currently work at the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) as manager business development services and membership. We help German companies enter the UAE market. I have a great set of colleagues that truly respect each other and appreciate their differences.”

Q:  “What was your motivation for pursuing the Master of Arts in Diplomacy?”
A:   “I wanted to pursue a post-grad degree for the longest time, and could not find something that suited what I was looking for, and I did not want to get the typical MBA. When I heard about this Diplomacy degree, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Q:  “What makes Norwich unique?”
A:  “What makes Norwich unique is its method of teaching. Not only does it provide the ease of completing one’s degree online at their own pace, but the professors that we are in contact with, they each have a great and unique teaching style that is motivating in its own way.”

Q:  “What aspects of the Norwich experience will you carry with you?”
A: “I will cherish the opportunities I had in meeting my classmates and professors.”

Q: “Please describe any memorable experiences with faculty members both before and during Residency Week.”
A: “Getting to know the faculty is truly an unbelievable experience. The faculty have become friends rather than the ‘boss.’ Being able to interact with them socially and as peers is something I will always carry with me.”

Q:  “How have you grown professionally as a result of your Norwich education?”
A:   “As a result of any educational growth, I am now able to see the business world from a different angle. I am able to analyze and solve problems in a more applicable and professional manner, while being aware of long-term consequences.”

Q: “How have you grown personally as a result of your education?
A:  “For me, education is a highest priority in my life.  Education helps me to grow and develop myself further. As a result of this degree, I am now able to see the similarities we all have, while also taking advantage of benefiting from our differences.”
