I work for the State of Maryland in the Law Enforcement profession. As a police corporal my duty is to protect life and property. I want to use my MPA program education to promote organizational leadership.

Q:  “Jevon, tell us a little about you, your family, and your interests.”
A:  “I am a motivated, humble person from Pennsylvania. I am a father of three, and have a strong family support system. Diversity in higher education and baseball are my interests.

Q:  “Tell us about the community where you live.”
A:  “York is in southeastern PA. It’s a diverse community made up of white and blue collar workers. It is contemporary with a country atmosphere.”

Q:  “Who is your current employer, describe your work there?”
A:  “I work for the State of Maryland in the Law Enforcement profession. As a police corporal my duty is to protect life and property. I want to use my MPA program education to promote organizational leadership.”

Q:  “What was your motivation for pursuing your degree?”
A:  “My wife who encouraged me to continue my education. My wife was my support system from day one.”

Q:  “Why did you choose Norwich?”
A:  “I chose Norwich because no other online program matched their rigor. I discovered Norwich while searching for MPA programs online.”

Q:  “What aspects of your Norwich experience will you carry most strongly with you?
A: “The research, writing and the critical thinking skills Norwich provides me.  As a result, I am a better writer and researcher. I also built long-tem relationships with my cohorts at residency week.”

Q:  “Please describe any memorable experiences with faculty.”
A:   “I was able to meet in person Dr. Frank Colaprete at Residency who gave me excellent advice all throughout the program, and encouraged me to think outside the box and advised me to never let people hold me down.”

Q:  “How have you grown professionally as a result of your Norwich education?”
A:  “I have grown more than professionally. I have grown as a person and Norwich University helped restore my pride and boost my confidence.”

In the years since graduatation, Jevon joined the faculty at Norwich and teaches in the online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program.
