Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting and Training

This project is an analysis of challenges facing the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) recruiting and training systems. Given the recent era of fiscal restraint (and in order to remain an employer of choice for high quality applicants), it is absolutely necessary to improve efficiency in the way the CAF seeks out applicants, processes them as recruits, and trains them for operational employment. Four strategies are proposed: better synchronization between recruiting and training calendars, improving recruiter knowledge, an incentive program for recruiters and trainers, and a continued expansion of the recruiting pool into non-traditional demographics.
