About

Katherine (Kat) McQuade currently teaches leadership courses as part of the Master of Science in Leadership program at Norwich University.

In addition, she taught as an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and she is about to start as a full-time professor at Southern New Hampshire University, teaching in the organizational leadership program. Her career has included over 25 years in business, working at both large corporations such as Hewlett-Packard, Philips, and Agilent Technologies, and small privately-held companies such as Hypertherm and GCC Technologies. Her most recent experience was as Director of Marketing at Renewable NRG Systems, where she led a rebranding and change effort for the organization as part of their executive management team. Through extensive global travel, her specialties include both marketing and leadership, and she has just completed her PhD from Capella University, with her research focused on the style of leadership needed for a sustainable future. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Boston University and an MBA from Rivier College. Outside of work and teaching, her interests include running, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and gardening, having recently run a small organic farm and orchard in Vermont with her husband.
