Internationalization Plan Project, Parts I & II

Authors Mark Wriggle, Chantelle Turcotte, and Gary Wooley evaluate Mr. Wriggle's start-up company, IDS, considering one of several intellectual property projects in the formulation of their submission. Assessment begins with market, cost, resource, and knowledge seeking, moves through SWOT, and considers geopolitical regional and expansion implications. Part II appraises entry mode advantages and disadvantages, leveraging domestic knowledge with foreign local capabilities, while considering a satisfactory company structure - such as vertical and horizontal differentiation. International finance, human resources, and cross-cultural aspects finalize the document, along with recommendations for the way ahead for IDS. The western Pacific region is used throughout this evaluation, although IDS has global aspirations.
