Campus activity is picking up considerably as preparations for the fall semester are well underway. The CGCS team is also busy preparing for fall classes and I know our current students are working hard to complete their summer courses and take one step closer to their degree.

The CGCS faculty and staff are busy putting the final touches on the Residency Conference. A highlight this year is having Dr. Condoleeza Rice serve as our keynote speaker in the Todd Lecture Series, who I am sure will certainly inspire lively discussion on campus and beyond.

The winter of 2013-14 will be remembered as one of the more challenging in recent years around the country, as I am sure many of you can attest. After having been stranded in many airports and repeatedly moving snow from the drive, walks, and roofs, I am ready for some spring weather!
