Since 1964, states have pushed a mandate for registered nurses in the U.S. to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). As 50% of the registered nurses in U.S. are set to retire within the next 15 years, it is predicted that states across the country will follow New York’s lead and enact legislation requiring registered nurses to earn a BSN within the next ten years. In our live webinar on February 23, 2021, we discussed with nurse leaders how the new legislation can provide career advancement and how to choose the right BSN program based on your personal needs and nursing interests.

Topics included in the webinar:
• Additional states planning to implement similar BSN in 10 laws
• The shift in the nursing field and what this means for RNs
• Understanding the benefits and competencies of holding a BSN vs. an RN
• Online or traditional? Finding which BSN program is right for you
