Norwich University’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) announces the opening of a new office in downtown Denver in early 2020. The new location serves Norwich’s four key initiatives to support the educational demands of the growing workforce in that region.

The first initiative is that the Denver office will position CGCS to better serve adult learners in this metropolitan area with its online bachelor’s degree programs, master’s degree programs, graduate certificate programs, plus continuing and professional education courses and certificates through Norwich Pro (SM). The Norwich Denver location will provide in-person student support and serve as a hub for developing partnerships with regional businesses in creating customized education programs that provide their employees with the critical skills needed for organizational growth.

The second initiative for this site is providing prospective high school students and their parents a Colorado location to learn more about our undergraduate degree programs available at our Northfield, Vermont campus.

The third initiative is providing residential students at our Northfield, Vermont, campus with administrative support through our local office to engage in internships in the Denver region through Norwich’s Study Away program.

The fourth initiative is leveraging Colorado’s education transformation culture for our Partridge Model of Education-to-Workforce that connects students from high school to employment as an alternative to talent acquisition for the region’s employers.

“I look forward to expanding Norwich’s footprint to a city that is constantly providing new opportunities and growth for the people and businesses within it,” Norwich University President Richard W. Schneider said. “The Denver office allows Norwich to better serve and engage with students and businesses across all areas of the U.S., as well as providing students with access to the tools and resources necessary to succeed.”

Located at 901 Auraria Pkway, Norwich’s Denver office officially opens March 25, 2020. The new Denver facility will host support personnel who will assist students and business partners on a one-to-one basis on a variety of topics including:

  • Access to admissions information
  • Credit transfer evaluation (unofficial)
  • Advisement for the online bachelor's and master's degree programs
  • Development of custom professional programs for business through Norwich Pro
  • Exam preparation courses from Norwich Pro such as PMP and CISSP
  • Creation of local partnership programs for credit transfer and tuition discount opportunities

“As a leader in online education, I recognize the responsibility that Norwich has to provide adult students with accessible learning opportunities,” Norwich University Vice President and CGCS Dean Bill Clements said. “By bringing personalized support to Denver, students and businesses have more flexibility and easier access to a range of available services that specifically address their educational goals.”

The public is invited to an open house of the Norwich Denver facility from 10:30 a.m. to noon on March 25, 2020. During this event, visitors can meet with support advisors to learn about Norwich’s online and residential programs and receive a free credit transfer evaluation for the online bachelor’s degree programs. Local companies and individuals also can inquire about business partnerships and training programs through Norwich Pro as well as tuition and scholarship opportunities, including those applicable to military service members and veterans. Prospective online students who attend the open house are also eligible for a $500 tuition discount.

The grand opening day will also feature a private event in the evening hosted by President Schneider and Norwich University Board of Trustees Chairman Alan DeForest ’75, which will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
CGCS also maintains an office on Norwich’s Northfield, Vermont, campus.
